In the neon haze of Night City, not everything that glows is gold. This piece reimagines Lucy, the iconic netrunner from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, as a lone figure caught between two worlds—synthetic and soft, deadly and delicate. Her expression reads like a glitching signal: at once alluring and lethal, questioning and resigned. A fleeting moment, somewhere between a memory and a malfunction.

🎨 Artist Notes
This was a deeply personal project, combining my love for stylised realism with the raw emotional palette of Edgerunners. I worked closely with Tim Marsh again during this one, and spent time analysing light references and animation stills to get the cyberpunk glow just right. Her hair and makeup were directly inspired by Lucy’s design, and I took on the challenge of capturing that cold, artificial light cutting across her soft, near-translucent skin tones. Arnaud’s FAQ book was a big influence, especially for the jacket textures—I wanted it to have that plasticky, synthetic gleam that feels both cheap and fashionable. It was an exercise in contrast—metallic vs matte, warmth vs chill, softness vs threat—and one of my most satisfying pieces to date.
