Clad in crimson plate and adorned in golden wings, the Blood Angels Captain advances across scorched earth with calm fury and noble purpose. His blade hums with energy, a relic passed through centuries of heroic bloodshed. With every measured step, he bears the burden of Sanguinius’ legacy—martial perfection balanced against the slow, sorrowful pull of the Black Rage. In battle, he is hope given form, the fire of Baal made flesh.

🎨 Artist Notes
This piece meant a lot to me—it was a gift for one of my oldest friends, and I wanted it to sing with all the things I’d studied and loved in 2023. The red armour was a joy to paint, pushing the shine just a touch further to get a deep, warm polish without tipping into metallics. The white cloak was a deliberate cool contrast, meant to feel weighty and pure. I used NMM throughout—steel, gold, even the details on the base—to practice consistency and texture handling. His features were designed to lean into that classical, almost Alexandrian ideal: noble, powerful, calm. I sent him down to Sydney wrapped in care, proud to gift a little piece of my journey to someone I admire.
